今年度の『3/11 Kids Photo Journal』は、子どもたちの夏休み期間に新たな撮影テーマ・計画を定め活動をスタートします。
そして今年度の活動の集大成として「3/11KPJ写真新聞」を2013年春頃発刊することを目標としております。
この「3/11KPJ写真新聞」は日英バイリンガルで紙面を構成、オンライン版・紙版で発刊するものです。
KPJメンバーの活動する地域の方々をはじめ日本国内の人たち、そして世界の人びとに向けて届けたい。
子どもたち自身による写真と文で震災後のその後を広く深く伝え続けていく媒体へと育てていきたい、と考えております。
年度末を機に昨年度のサポート体制が終了となり、目下新たな体制の下、活動継続の方策を模索していますが、なかなか厳しい現実に直面しています。
ここでみなさまにお願いです。
『3/11 Kids Photo Journal』の今後の活動を支えて頂きたく、みなさまにご支援をお願いする次第です。

Dear friends and supporters,
We are excited to announce that the 3/11Kids Photo Journal will resume its 2012 session this summer. Great things are happening and we would like to let you know what we have planned.
Our most ambitious goal is that we are planning to launch the 3/11 KPJ photo newspaper which will be available in English and Japanese. The newspaper will be distributed both in print and in digital format, available in Japan and internationally.
The newspaper will give KPJ children participants the chance to produce in-depth visual stories that explore the issues still surrounding the Great Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami and the ongoing tragedy unfolding at Fukushima.
Last year we were generously supported by donors which helped us produce some very important work, however we are now looking for support for 2012—a challenge in this very difficult economic climate.
We have a big favor to ask of you.
To continue the 3/11Kids Photo Journal, we are seeking funds to help support our ambitious program. We need at least 1,500,000 yen(approx. US$18,000) to sustain our 2012 program. These funds will directly support the operating costs of our workshops and help us launch the 3/11 KPJ Photo newspaper which includes printing and distribution.
Your help is essential to ensuring that children affected by the tsunami will be able to continue to tell their stories.
As we strive to reach our goal we will keep you updated with how we are doing. Once we reach our goal with your generous support we will print our first newspaper and you’ll be the first to receive a copy. We will also mention you in our list of supporters.
As Tohoku continues to recover from the great tsunami of 2011 your support is more critical than ever. Please help us give a chance to the children who still have so many stories to share.
